Jung-Kyu McCann will serve as general counsel and Stephen Manley joins as chief technologist as Druva prepares for the next phase of growth
SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Druva, Inc., the leader in Cloud Data Protection and Management, today announced the appointment of Jung-Kyu McCann as general counsel and Stephen Manley as chief technologist. Leading Druva’s legal team, McCann will be responsible for helping the company scale its legal function, expand compliance capabilities, and prepare for future growth. Manley will oversee Druva Labs and lead collaboration between the company’s go-to-market teams and customers, ensuring Druva’s product vision meets customer needs for today and prepares them for tomorrow.
“We are scaling fast and preparing for our next phase of growth,” said Jaspreet Singh, founder and CEO, Druva. “Jung’s extensive experience supporting and scaling some of the world’s most well regarded technology companies, along with Stephen’s previous work in data management, driving innovation, and bringing customers on a journey, are exceptional additions to our team. We welcome them both to the Druva family.”
Prior to joining Druva, McCann served as associate general counsel at Broadcom, where she focused on corporate finance and strategic transactions, such as the acquisition of CA Technologies. Before Broadcom, she spent four years at Apple, where she strengthened the company’s corporate governance framework and raised more than $100 billion in the global bond markets.
“Governance and regulation are increasingly becoming a chief concern for today’s enterprises,” said McCann. “Druva’s team is delivering a comprehensive approach that provides users the flexibility and visibility to ensure they can meet all their legal needs. I’m excited to join the Druva team and look forward to supporting the company’s rapidly expanding capabilities.”
Manley joins Druva from Nuvoloso, where he spearheaded the startup’s development of data management for cloud applications. Prior to that, as chief technology officer of the Data Protection Group at Dell EMC, Stephen championed self-service, deduplicated data protection. Prior to that, he was a senior technical director of data protection at NetApp, where he led the evolution from legacy tape backups to disk-based snapshots and replication. He has partnered with customers around the world to develop products to help solve their data management challenges.
“With experience in both the cloud and on-premises technologies, I’ve seen the value cloud can bring customers,” said Manley. “Druva is redefining the data management and protection industry. I’m excited to join the team and help Druva’s passionate customers build new innovations and capabilities that only Druva’s cloud-native SaaS technology makes possible.”
McCann and Manley are the latest to join Druva’s executive team, following the recent appointments of Thomas Been as chief marketing officer and Holly Cafiero as chief human resources officer. In July, Druva also appointed Bill Losch, chief financial officer at Okta, to its board of directors.
